Bachelor of Engineering in Agricultural Engineering

 

Course Code : GA 675 for Level 7 and GA 683 for Level 8.

 

Duration:    3 years or 4 years. Students can progress from level 7 to level 8.

 

Location:    Mountbellew Agricultural College and GMIT

Course aim:

The Agri food sector is one of Irelands most important indigenous manufacturing sectors, accounting for the empolyment of around 150,000 people. This Degree has been designed to deliver high quality agricultural engineering graduates to local and national agricultural and agri-food industries.

 

What to expect:

Students will be based between between the GMIT's campuses in Mountbellew, Co. Galway, and Galway City.

This degree is very practical with weekly lab classes, workshop practice, individual and group projects, and work placement experience.

Each Student will recieve, on average, 24 hours of tuition per week.

 

Entry requirements:

In addition to the level 6/7 and level 8 general entry requirments, candidates must have a minimum LC grade of 04/H& in Mathematics.
